What is exactly acs.exe???
It runs sometimes on my pc and it eats or consumes enormous cpu, 50 to 60%....and it runs for quite a while.

Really hard to do anything at all as it slow anything down a lot.

Googling it got my confused as there are 1 million opinions about what this is really...some say malware, others speak of a system program that runs safely as a part of windows...?!?!

acs.exe ...poop on it....

Atheros Wireless Lan (Atheros Cleint Utility). Are you using wireless?

It can be also a vires, download this:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r/FxKelvir.exe

and run. You will see if it's a virus or proper Atheros file.
